What is Saudi iecee certification?
The Saudi Arabian Standards Organization SASO (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization) recently (2019) has enforced the new requirements of IECEE certification. The new regulations require that, in addition to obtaining the COC, the product conformity certificate required for customs clearance, traders must apply for and obtain the IECEE certificate in advance for the products under the control to smoothly clear the goods at the Saudi Customs.
Saudi IECEE certification process
1. Fill in the application
2. Provide CB certificate (valid within 3 years, including Saudi deviation: 220V, 60Hz, British plug, national difference test report, product photo, product size, manufacturer declaration, manufacturer production license, Saudi importer business license) and CB test report;
3. Provide the manufacturer's declaration of conformity or endorsement for the product
4. Fill in the commitment statement and apply for IECEE
IECEE validity: one year
In addition, it should be noted that the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization SASO is currently issuing the latest notice. From September 1, 2020, for products with plugs within the scope of Saudi IECEE RC regulations, their plugs must provide SASO 2203:2018 standard The test report can be accepted in the following two ways:
(1) The national deviation in compliance with SASO 2203:2018 must be added to the IEC CB test report of the host.
(2) The test report provided by the third-party laboratory must meet the following three conditions:
·IEC/ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratory;
·The scope of accreditation for testing includes SASO 2203:2018 standard;
·The plug model in the report must be reflected in the CB report of the host.
